abstract |
This laser oscillation device (100) comprises a laser light source (17) and a partial reflection mirror (14) between which there are disposed: wavelength plates (31, 32) which change the polarization direction of laser beams emitted from semiconductor lasers (11, 51) to a second direction orthogonal to a first direction; and a diffraction grating (13) which is disposed in a position at which a plurality of laser beams polarized in the first direction are superimposed into one, and at which a plurality of laser beams with the polarization direction changed to the second direction are superimposed into one. The diffraction grating (13) superimposes the plurality of laser beams polarized in the first direction so as to have a single optical axis. The diffraction grating (13) also superimposes the plurality of laser beams polarized in the second direction so as to have a single optical axis, and outputs the superimposed laser beams toward the partial reflection mirror (14). The laser oscillation device (100) is also provided with a birefringent element (16) which couples the laser beams output from the partial reflection mirror (14) having mutually different optical axes into a laser beam having a single optical axis. |
