abstract The present invention relates to a method for the parallel machining of multiple workpieces (38 1 ,38 2 ), in particular two workpieces, using a machining center (30), wherein the workpieces are clamped rigidly to each other in a set-up area (40) by means of a clamping system (37) and optionally with the aid of a gripping robot (39), are moved along a displacement path (36) into a machining area (32) and are machined simultaneously by means of a plurality of work spindles (24 1 , 24 2 ), wherein correction data are generated for each workpiece (38 1 ,38 2 ) for post-machining, either by measurement of the actual dimensions of each workpiece after each machining by a workpiece measurement device (50) or by a one-time measurement of the deviation of the actual dimensions from reference workpieces on the basis of the clamping in the clamping system (37) by means of a clamping system measurement device (52), and wherein subsequently each workpiece (38 1 ,38 2 ) is post-machined one after the other by means of one of the two work spindles (24 1 ,24 2 ) on the basis of the generated correction data in order to thereby correct the deviations from the target dimensions.
