abstract | Provided is an amniotic membrane piece 11-1 having at least an amniotic membrane or one of the constituent layers of the amniotic membrane, the piece being configured from: a main body part 13 having sides 13a-13d that distinguish a contour shape in a plan view; and an identification part which is a means by which the front and back sides of the main body part 13 can be identified, wherein the identification part is a protrusion part 15 protruding outward from the side 13b. The protrusion part 15 preferably has a triangular, rectangular, or arc shape. In addition, the main body part 13 is an axisymmetric figure having at least one axisymmetric axis Xa-Xd in the contour shape, and the protrusion part 15 is preferably provided in a portion of the main body part 13 so that for all the axisymmetric axes Xa-Xd, two regions divided with the respective axisymmetric axes therebetween are not axisymmetric. |
