abstract The present invention provides a liquid crystal alignment agent whereby uneven alignment and burn-in in a liquid crystal display device can be effectively suppressed even when the liquid crystal alignment agent is used after being stored for a long time, an alignment film formed using the liquid crystal alignment agent, and a liquid crystal display device provided with the alignment film. This liquid crystal alignment agent contains at least two types of polymers and a solvent, the at least two types of polymer include a first polymer having a structure in which a carboxyl group in a polyamic acid structure is protected, and a second polymer having a polyamic acid structure, one of the abovementioned structure in which the carboxyl group is protected in the first polymer and the polyamic acid structure in the second polymer has an azobenzene structure, and the other does not have an azobenzene structure.
