abstract The present art relates to an image processing device, an image processing method, and an image system capable of reducing the discomfort of a user, such as "VR sickness". The image processing device is provided with an image generation unit that generates, as a first presentation image to be presented to a user, an avatar viewpoint image based on the viewpoint of an avatar corresponding to the user in a virtual world, and that generates a second presentation image different from the avatar viewpoint image when a posture difference occurs between the actual posture of the user based on the result of detecting the motion of the user, and the posture of the avatar. The present art is applicable, for example, to an image processing device for generating an image to be displayed on a head mounted display.
