abstract Provided are a percarboxylic acid concentration determination tool with which it is possible to easily and precisely determine the concentration of percarboxylic acid in a chemically sterilizing or antimicrobial aqueous solution that includes percarboxylic acid as an active ingredient, and an indicator solution used to prepare the percarboxylic acid concentration determination tool. As the indicator solution, in which the percarboxylic acid concentration determination tool is immersed and supported, there is used an indicator solution for formulating a percarboxylic acid concentration determination tool, the indicator solution containing a starch, an iodide, a thiosulfate, an aqueous-phase-soluble organic solvent, and water, and the proportions of the starch, the iodide, the thiosulphate, and the aqueous-phase-soluble organic solvent per a total of 100% by mass being as follows: (a) starch: 0.01-5% by mass; (b) iodide: 0.01-5% by mass; (c) thioslfate: 0.01-10% by mass; and (d) aqueous-phase-soluble organic solvent: 0.01-40% by mass, where the total of (a) + (b) + (c) is greater than 0.6% by mass.
