abstract |
The invention relates to an internal combustion engine (1) comprising the following: - at least one cylinder (2), - at least one hollow-head valve (3) which has a valve shaft (4) and a valve head (5) and is guided in a valve shaft guide (6), and - at least one valve seat ring (7) on which the corresponding valve head (5) sealingly lies when the hollow-head valve (3) is closed. It is essential to the invention that: - a valve shaft seal (8) with at least two seal lips (9) is provided, - oil is arranged between the valve shaft (4) and the valve shaft guide (6), - the valve seat ring (7) is made of a sintered metal with infiltrated copper, and - the valve shaft (4) has a chromium-containing or a boron carbide-containing coating (12). |
