A cleansing block for insertion in a tank of a flushing toilet, the block comprising (all percentages being by weight and based upon the total composition weight): (a) 10 to 50% of a surface active component comprising one or more surface active agents including at least one alkyl sulfonate, sodium salt or at least one alkyl sulfate, sodium salt; (b) 20 to 60% of at least one water-soluble inorganic salt; (b) 0 to 10% colouring agent; and (c) 0.5 to 5% of a halogen release agent comprising one or more of the following: 2, 2-dibromo-3nitrilopropionamide, N-(4-chlorophenyl)-N'-(3, 4- dichlorophenyl)-Urea; 2,4,4'-Trichlorine-2'-Hydroxyl Diphenyl Ether and 2,2-Dibromo- 2-Nitroethanol. |
