abstract The present invention relates to water-based coating compositions with a low content of volatiles and high resistance to dirt sticking. Said compositions contain conventional latices and low-VOC coalescents, which favour the hardness evolution of paint films and polymer films, providing coatings with high resistance to dirt sticking, which can be used for various applications. Said coalescents are predominantly diesters with a boiling point above 260°C, preferably a boiling point above 280°C, and a molecular weight of between 230 and 342 atomic mass units, prepared by reacting diacids and alcohols or monoacids and diols.
