abstract The present invention provides an electronic device for providing a user interface according to an electronic device usage environment and a method therefor. An electronic device according to various embodiments comprises: a touch screen; a sensor formed on an at least partial area of the touch screen; and a processor, wherein the processor may display a user interface corresponding to a content on the touch screen to allow the user interface to be controlled through the touch screen and, when at least a part of the touch screen is identified, through the touch screen, as being positioned under water, may display the user interface through the at least partial area of the touch screen to allow the user interface to be controlled through the sensor. In addition, other embodiments are possible.
