Guidewire with tactile feel |
abstract |
Medical devices and methods for making and using medical devices are disclosed. An example medical device may include a guidewire The guidewire includes a core wire (12) having a body region and a distal tip region. A distal tip member is disposed along the distal tip region. The distal tip member has a proximal end. A sleeve (24) is disposed along the body region. The sleeve is disposed adjacent to the proximal end of the distal tip member and extending proximally therefrom. The sleeve includes a first member (26) and a second member (28) formed from a heat shrink material such that application of heat to the sleeve causes the second member to shrink onto the first member providing an uneven outer surface. |
