titleOfInvention Method for preparing thiamine dilauryl sulfate without using organic solvent
abstract The present invention relates to a method for preparing thiamine dilauryl sulfate without using an organic solvent, and more particularly to a method for preparing thiamine dilauryl sulfate of high purity without using an organic solvent by reacting sodium dodecyl sulfate and vitamin B1 using water as a solvent, followed by crystallization, filtration and washing with hot water; crystals of the thiamine dilauryl sulfate prepared by the above preparation method; an emulsion-formulated composition with water solubility enhanced by including the thiamine dilauryl sulfate, an emulsifier, a medium-chain fatty acid, glycerin, and ethanol; and a preparation method for the composition. The present invention enables the efficient preparation of a thiamine dilauryl sulfate having a high purity at high yield without using an organic solvent. It is thus advantageous in the present invention to solve the problems of the conventional methods concerning the environmental contamination and to greatly improve the working environments of the workers handling with the thiamine dilauryl sulfate. It is also advantageous in the present invention to prepare the thiamine dilauryl sulfate into a formulation that minimizes the risk of precipitation of thiamine dilauryl sulfate in a material having a high moisture content and maintains the thiamine dilauryl sulfate in a stable condition, making it possible to use the thiamine dilauryl sulfate in the wider range of applications.
