abstract |
The present disclosure provides cyclic dinucleotides (CDNs), and methods of preparing and using the same. The subject methods can include contacting a CDN producing-enzyme with a precursor of a CDN under conditions sufficient to convert the precursor into a CDN. In some embodiments, the CDN producing-enzyme is a Hypr GGDEF enzyme. The methods can be performed in vitro or in a genetically modified host cell. Also provided are CDN compositions that find use in a variety of applications. Methods of modulating an immune response in an individual and methods of inhibiting a bacterial biofilm in an industrial system are also provided. |
