titleOfInvention | Method for producing liquid crystal alignment film, liquid crystal alignment film, and liquid crystal display element |
abstract | Provided is a method for producing a liquid crystal alignment film that comprises the steps (A), (B), (C), and (D) indicated below and in which the steps (B) and (C) are performed continuously. Step (A) is a step for applying a liquid crystal alignment agent containing a polyimide that is an imidized product of a polyimide precursor obtained from: a tetracarboxylic acid derivative component containing at least one substance selected from among a tetracarboxylic acid dianhydride represented by formula (1) and derivatives thereof and at least one substance selected from among a tetracarboxylic acid dianhydride represented by formula (2) and derivatives thereof; and a diamine component. Step (B) is a step in which the applied liquid crystal alignment agent is heated under conditions in which thermal imidization does not substantially proceed and a film is obtained. Step (C) is a step in which the film obtained in step (B) is irradiated with polarized ultraviolet rays. Step (D) is a step in which the film irradiated with ultraviolet rays in step (C) is fired at a temperature that is 100°C or more and that is higher than the temperature at which heating was performed in step (B). |
