abstract |
The present invention relates to: a graphite material which is suitable for a negative electrode for a lithium ion secondary battery having excellent high current load properties and direct current resistance properties; and a method for producing the graphite material.nThe graphite material according to the present invention has a surface carbon atom concentration of 98.3% or more as measured by X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy (XPS), wherein the R value (RE) of a graphite edge surface and the R value (RB) of a graphite basal surface as measured by Raman spectroscopy using argon laser satisfy the following requirements (a) and (b): (a) 0.19 ≤ RE ≤ 0.54; and (b)0.10 ≤ RB ≤ 0.14. |
