abstract |
This particle capture device is provided with a first substrate and a second substrate disposed to be parallel to and face one side of the first substrate. The first substrate has a plurality of recesses that are open on the other side of the first substrate, each having a size that allows one particle to be captured. The recesses have connection holes that connect the one side and the other side and have a size that allows a particle dispersion medium to move. Between the first substrate and the second substrate, a flow path is formed wherein the connection holes of the first substrate function as inlets for the dispersion medium, and an end part on the one side of the first substrate functions as an outlet for the dispersion medium. The total opening area of the connection holes is 1 mm 2 (inclusive) to 10 mm 2 (exclusive), and the cross-sectional area of the flow path at the outlet is 0.8 times or more of the opening area of the connection holes. Alternatively, the total opening area of the connection holes is 10 mm 2 to 1000 mm 2 , and the cross-sectional area of the flow path at the outlet is 0.1 times or more of the opening area of the connection holes. |
