titleOfInvention | Glass article with colored coating |
abstract | [Problem] To provide a structure for colored coating which can improve the appearance of a glass article which is to be a window in a building or a vehicle. [Solution] A glass article including: a glass substrate; colored coating on one of the major surfaces of the glass substrate; a non-coating-formed portion which is a portion of the major surface or an end surface of the glass substrate that is not coated with the colored coating; a boundary between the colored coating and the non-coating-formed portion; and a gradually-changing-coating-thickness portion in which the thickness of the colored coating is gradually reduced toward the boundary. When the glass article is made into a window, the non-coating-formed portion is visible, the glass substrate has an absorbance per 1 mm of thickness in a wavelength region of 380 to 780 nm of 0.10 or less, and the glass article is colored in blue, gray, or pink in the portion on which the colored coating is formed. |
