abstract |
The present invention relates to the process of enzymatic epoxidation of terpenes using lipase and hydrogen peroxide, to epoxidized compounds and to the use of the compounds as an antiproliferative agent. Enzymatic epoxidation was carried out in the presence of a commercial immobilized lipase and hydrogen peroxide, without the use of solvents (solvent free) and at low temperatures. The conversion yield was above 90%. The compounds produced exhibited antiproliferative activity. |
