abstract | Provided is a power storage/generation device in which amorphous carbon stores electric charges generated by heterojunction of a plurality of kinds of metals having different oxidation-reduction potentials and which has properties for generating power of 2.0 V or higher. The power storage/generation device according to the present invention is characterized by comprising: a pair of plate-shaped electrodes each having a recess formed at the center portion thereof and facing each other such that the recesses form an internal space; an insulated porous separator sandwiched between the pair of plate-shaped electrodes so as to divide the space into two parts; a power generation composition containing a mixture of a plurality of kinds of metallic fine particles, fine particles of amorphous carbon supporting lithium ions, and fine particles of a manganese dioxide; and a power storage composition containing active carbon as a main component, wherein the power generation composition is disposed at a positive electrode side of the separator, the power storage composition is disposed at a negative electrode side of the separator, and the compositions are filled in the space by pressure so that electric charges generated by heterojunction of the plurality of kinds of metallic fine particles are collected and transported by the amorphous carbon in the power generation composition, whereby power storage using a power storage composition is performed. |
