abstract This cell transfer apparatus transfers cells from tissue that holds cells to a microplate having a plurality of wells divided up into a plurality of groups. The cell transfer apparatus comprises: a camera unit (5) for capturing an image of the tissue in a state in which the cells are held; an evaluation unit (74) for referring to predetermined evaluation levels for cells, and assigning an evaluation level to each of the plurality of cells held in the tissue, on the basis of the image of the tissue; a sorting unit (75) for setting the transfer destination for each of the cells in the tissue in such a manner that cells having the same evaluation level are distributed evenly to each of the groups of the microplate; and a shaft control unit (76) for moving the cells according to the transfer destination set by the sorting unit (75).
