abstract This middle member (3) is interposed directly or indirectly between a first object and a second object. The middle member (3) is provided with a plate-shaped support member (31) of which the lower surface, which is one of the main surfaces, faces the first object (91), and a plurality of ceramic blocks (16) that are in a state of being separated from each other and are fixed to the upper surface which is the other main surface of the support member (31). In such manner, since the middle member (3) is disposed between the objects in a state where the plurality of ceramic blocks (16) are held integrally by the support member (31) that has relatively high shape retention properties, the plurality of ceramic blocks (16) can be disposed between the objects with ease and high positional accuracy.
