titleOfInvention Antimicrobial triboelectric material
abstract The present disclosure generally provides antimicrobial triboelectric filtration material comprising a blend of positively charged wool fibres and negatively charged polypropylene fibres that form a triboelectric charge in the material. The triboelectric filtration material, for example the blend or wool fibres, also comprises an antimicrobial agent consisting of at least one of polyhexamethylene biguanide (PHMB) and quaternary ammonium compound (QAC). One advantage is that the material can be washed after use while still retaining its antimicrobial and triboelectric properties.
