titleOfInvention | Cell culturing apparatus and cell culturing method using same |
abstract | A cell culturing apparatus according to an aspect of the present invention, is constructed so as to apply stimulation to cells during cultivation of the cells such that the culturing conditions of the cells are similar to a living body. The cell culturing apparatus comprises: a membrane which has a plurality of placement grooves into which the cells are placed, is composed of an expandable and contractible material, and applies pressure to the placed cells while expanding or contracting, the placement grooves being characterized by being formed in a planar shape having a long axis and a short axis; and a tensioning means, which is coupled to both ends of the membrane and selectively tensions the membrane. Such a cell culturing apparatus according to the present invention generates the physical stimulation that cells receive inside of a body, thereby allowing the cells to be cultured in an environment that is most similar to the inside of the body. Thus, culturing efficiency and the accuracy of monitored values may be increased. |
