| abstract | Process for obtaining sheets of a paper-based composite material reinforced with fibres comprising the steps: i) shredding, soaking in water and dissolving the paper to obtain a paste that is transferred to a container to which more water is added; ii) pretreatment of the plant fibres by cooking in water and then blending; ii) adding the pretreated plant fibres to the container holding the paper paste; iii) stirring the mixture and adding a binding agent; iv) introducing a mesh in the container; v) withdrawing the mesh with a vertical movement; vi) transferring the sheet of material thus obtained to a burlap mat; vii) removing the excess water, the mesh and the burlap mat; vii) adding an Oropal mat to the sheet of material; viii) adding adhesive material; ix) pressing and drying the composite material. Sheet of material obtained by the previous procedure and application of said sheet in the manufacture of waterproof footwear. |
