The prevent invention relates to a novel diynoic acid methyl ester compound. Particularly, since a 16-acetyl-9,17-octadecadiene-12,14-diynoic acid methyl ester compound has an excellent effect of inhibiting the differentiation of osteoclasts even at a concentration remarkably lower than that of other extracts or compounds, which are conventionally known to be effective in bone diseases, provided are a pharmaceutical composition, quasi-drug composition, functional health food composition, and cosmetic composition, all of which can be useful for preventing, treating or alleviating bone diseases, and a method for treating bone diseases of animals excluding humans, comprising a step of administering the pharmaceutical composition to a subject suspected of having a bone disease. |
