abstract The present invention relates to a peptide that is able to selectively bind to biopsies of inflamed intestinal tissue taken from patients affected by Crohn's disease, for the differential diagnosis of this pathology, thus allowing to distinguish it from ulcerative colitis. A method for diagnosing Crohn's disease, and a diagnostic kit are also described.
