abstract The invention relates to an aerosal container (1) made of plastic, said container having a neck, the opening of which is closed or can be closed in a pressure-tight manner by a valve unit that can be actuated by means of a pushbutton, and being filled or being fillable with a liquid or gaseous propellant and a liquid to be sprayed. The aerosol container (1) is designed as an injection cast preform with an elongated tubular preform body (2). The preform body (2) is closed by a dome-shaped convex preform base (3), beyond which an integrally formed stand region (6) projects in an axial direction. The preform body (2) adjoins the opening (5) of the neck (4) at the opposite axial longitudinal ends of the preform body. The neck (4) is designed to receive the valve unit for dispensing an aerosol.
