abstract | A quantum cryptographic key output apparatus 1 comprises: a semiconductor laser device 10 that repetitively generates a pulse laser light L; an encoder 11 that encodes the pulse laser light on the basis of a quantum cryptographic key; a light branch unit 12 that branches the pulse laser light L; and an attenuator 13 that attenuates the optical intensity of a first pulse laser light L1 such that the number of photons of the first pulse laser light L1 becomes equal to any one of a plurality of candidate values that are values equal to or less than one. The quantum cryptographic key output apparatus 1 also comprises: an optical intensity determination unit 15 that determines whether the optical intensity of a second pulse laser light L2 is within a predetermined range; and an information output unit 16 that outputs, to a quantum cryptographic key input apparatus 2, identification information for identifying the first pulse laser light L1 corresponding to the second pulse laser light L2 the optical intensity of which is not within the predetermined range. |
