A lithium-nickel composite oxide represented by general formula (1). (1) Li x NiO 2+δ [In the formula, x represents 0.8 ≤ x ≤ 1.3, and δ represents -0.20 ≤ δ ≤ 0.20.] The lithium-nickel composite oxide contains a crystal phase having a hexagonal layered rock salt structure, and has a lattice constant c of not less than 14.130 Å but less than 14.190 Å, and has a high capacitance and enables significant suppression of deterioration in cycle characteristics. |
