abstract | Described herein are formulations and methods of manufacture providing levamisole in a salt form with an additional anthelmintic having a different class of activity. The formulation uses a multi- solvent system to produce a topically applied formulation with all compounds in solution. In one aspect a formulation is described comprising in solution a mixture of a therapeutically effective amount of levamisole salt dissolved in at least one inorganic solvent; and a therapeutically effective amount of at least one additional anthelmintic compound with a different class of activity to levamisole, the at least one additional anthelmintic compound being substantially lipophilic and being dissolved in at least one organic solvent. A related veterinary medicament and method of treatment of parasites are also described. |
