abstract |
The present invention is a method for producing a fusible material for three-dimensional molding to be used, when producing a three-dimensional object with a fused deposition-mode 3-D printer, as a material for a support member that supports said three-dimensional object. The method for producing a fusible material for three-dimensional molding has a kneading step for kneading with a screw configuration such that the ratio of the total length K of the kneading discs with respect to the total effective screw length L of a twin screw extruder, which kneads a starting material for the fusible material for three-dimensional molding, is 0.20<K/L<0.70. The temperature Tmix of the starting material for the fusible material for three-dimensional molding in the kneading step with respect to the glass transition temperature Tg of a base polymer contained in the starting material for said fusible material for three-dimensional molding is Tg+80(°C)<Tmix<Tg+200(°C). The present invention is capable of providing a method for producing a fusible material for three-dimensional molding that has excellent mechanical properties and even when made into filaments, is not susceptible to breakage. |
