abstract These zinc-oxide-containing composite particles are provided with a dense matrix formed by silica and polysilsesquioxane, and zinc oxide particles dispersed in the interior of the matrix. The polysilsesquioxane content in the matrix is 30-70%by mass. These zinc-oxide-containing composite particles have high acid resistance and can continue to manifest acid resistance even upon contact with water.
