The present invention addresses the problem of providing an electrolytic solution that, even in the event of a change in electrochemical properties, suppresses an increase in the concentration of OH - ions, reduces deterioration and corrosion of resin, rubber, or metal, and enhances the reliability of an electrochemical device, as well as an electrolyte used in the electrolytic solution and an electrochemical device using the electrolytic solution. An electrolyte is formed of a compound having a cation unit represented by, for example, the formula shown and an electrolyte (e.g., quaternary ammonium salt). (In the formula, R 1 , R 2 , R 3 , and R 4 are identical or different and represent an alkyl group or alkoxyalkyl group, and R 1 and R 2 together and R 3 and R 4 together each may form a ring, such as a pyrrolidine ring and a piperidine ring.) |
