Provided is a transformant that produces a PHA copolymer containing a 3HH unit at a higher composition ratio, and a method for producing a copolymerized PHA using the transformant. The transformant that produces a PHA copolymer containing a 3HH unit is formed by transducing a gene that encodes an enzyme having trans-2-enoyl-CoA hydratase activity and (R)-3-hydroxyacyl-CoA dehydrogenase activity into a prokaryotic microorganism carrying a PHA synthase gene capable of synthesizing a PHA copolymer containing a 3HH unit. The method for producing a PHA copolymer containing a 3HH unit comprises a step of culturing the transformant. |
