Disclosed are a benzamide compound and the use thereof in preparing drugs inhibiting cancer cell proliferation and/or treating cancer. The compound has the capability to inhibit cancer cell proliferation, thus achieving the purpose of treating cancer. In particular, it has an excellent activity of inhibiting cancer cell proliferation when inhibiting human lung cancer cell A549, human stomach cancer cell MGC80-3, human liver cancer cell HepG2, and human colon cancer cell HCT116. The compound has the following structure, wherein R 1 is hydrogen, fluorine, chlorine, bromine, iodine, alkyl, alkoxy, alkylcarbonyl, alkoxycarbonyl, alkylacylamino, nitro, cyano, aryl or heteroaryl; and R 2 is hydrogen, fluorine, chlorine, bromine, iodine, alkyl, alkoxy, alkylcarbonyl, alkoxycarbonyl, alkylacylamino, nitro, cyano, aryl or heteroaryl. |
