abstract The present invention relates to, in one aspect, a composition containing post-fermented tea ketone extract as an active ingredient for improving cognitive function, and, in another aspect, to a composition containing 3-O-galloyl-3,3',5,5',7-pentahydroxyflavan isolated from the post-fermented tea ketone extract, or an isomer, acceptable salt, prodrug, hydrate or solvate thereof as an active ingredient for improving cognitive function. By means of one aspect of the present invention, the aggregation of ß-amyloid can be effectively suppressed, and expressions of BDNF and DNMT1 can be controlled, and thus the present invention, in one aspect, is expected to be effectively applied in a variety of fields associated with decline in cognitive function.
