Provided is a chlorine-containing resin composition that allows a molded article, which has not only excellent thermal stability and heat resistance but also a variety of good physical properties derived from a chlorine-containing resin, to be easily and conveniently provided in a highly workable manner at high yield without deteriorating the appearance of the molded article. A method for producing such a molded article is also provided. The present invention pertains to a chlorine-containing resin composition including a chlorine-containing resin, a hydrotalcite-type powder, and an organic acid zinc, wherein the hydrotalcite-type powder contains elemental magnesium (Mg) and/or zinc (Zn), and elemental aluminum (Al), the molar ratio of the total amount of elemental magnesium and zinc to the amount of elemental aluminum, i.e., [(Mg+Zn)/Al], is 2.20 or less, and oil absorption is less than or equal to 30 ml/100 g. |
