abstract |
Provided is a thermocouple which is capable of performing a temperature measurement of a material that is in a high temperature range of 1,500°C or higher with high accuracy at low cost. This thermocouple is provided with a first conductive member (1) and a second conductive member (2). The first conductive member (1) and the second conductive member (2) are connected to each other and form a temperature measuring contact; and the first conductive member (1) contains a first conductive ceramic that is composed of zirconium diboride and/or titanium diboride, silicon carbide, a sintering assistant and unavoidable impurities. With respect to the first conductive ceramic, the content of the silicon carbide is from 5% by mass to 40% by mass (inclusive). The second conductive member (2) contains a second conductive ceramic that contains boron carbide as a main constituent material. |
