abstract | The invention relates to a disinfection device (100) comprising a housing (10), comprising at least one wall (12) which separates an interior (22) of the disinfection device (100) from an external environment (23) of the disinfection device (100), with at least one inlet (14)/outlet (16) for allowing one or more gases, including oxygen, into the interior (22)/out of the interior (22); at least one entrance/exit (18) through which material (G) to be disinfected can be allowed into/out of the interior (22) of the disinfection device (100); at least one first radiation source (24) which is arranged in the interior (22) of the disinfection device (100) and which is able to emit VUV radiation of at least one wavelength, which permits in situ formation of active oxygen and ozone in the oxygen-containing gas phase; at least one second radiation source (34) which is arranged in the interior (22) of the disinfection device (100) and which is able to emit UV radiation of at least one wavelength, which permits in situ decomposition of ozone with formation of active oxygen in the gas phase; and one or more devices for operating, controlling and monitoring the radiation sources (24, 34) and/or the disinfection device (100), and also a disinfection method using said disinfection device (100). |
