abstract |
The present invention provides multilayer films and packages formed from such films. In one aspect, a multilayer film comprises Layer A which is a sealant layer having a top facial surface and a bottom facial surface, wherein Layer A comprises (a) a copolymer comprising ethylene and alkylacrylate, wherein the copolymer has a melt index (I 2 ) of 2 to 30 g/10 minutes and wherein the total amount of alkylacrylate in the copolymer is 5 to 30 weight percent based on the weight of the copolymer, and (b) a polyolefin elastomer having a crystallinity of 30% or less and a melt index (I 2 ) of 1.0 g/10 minutes or more; and Layer B having a top facial surface and a bottom facial surface, wherein the top facial surface of Layer B is in adhering contact with a bottom facial surface of Layer A. |
