titleOfInvention | Damaged hair-improving agent and damaged hair-improving cosmetic containing same |
abstract | The present invention addresses the problem of providing a damaged hair-improving agent and a damaged hair-improving cosmetic containing the damaged hair-improving agent, each of which has an excellent improving effect on damaged hair without requiring employing a complicated operation or without requiring using an expensive and special component, and which can exert this effect sustainably for a long period.nIt is found that, when at least one component selected from specific L-ascorbic acid derivatives, which have been used conventionally as useful components in cosmetics because of their physiological activities including a skin-whitening effect, and salts of the derivatives is used as a hair-improving agent and a hair cosmetic containing the component is applied onto damaged hair, such an improving effect that the hydrophobicity of the surface of the damaged hair is increased and the smoothness of the hair is improved can be obtained. This finding leads to the provision of a damaged hair-improving agent and a damaged hair-improving cosmetic containing the damaged hair-improving agent, both of which are effective on damaged hair. |
