titleOfInvention Image
abstract The present invention relates to an image processing device, an image processing method, and a medical imaging system, whereby an endoscope image can be displayed in an easily viewable manner. In the present invention, an image captured by an endoscope device is smoothed by an LPF, and brightness I, chromaticity r, g, and luminance Y are calculated from the smoothed image. A histogram is calculated in block units using the luminance Y, and the frequency in the direction of higher order is calculated as a tilt deflection feature value Bb. Brightness and chromaticity feature values Ib, rb, gb are also calculated in block units for each of the brightness and the chromaticity. A region of a subject in an image is classified by a classifier as a surgical tool or gauze on the basis of a four-dimensional feature value comprising Ib, rb, gb, and Bb, a region not classified as a surgical tool or gauze is recognized as a biological tissue, and AE, AF, and shake correction are performed using only information of the region recognized as a biological tissue. The present invention can be applied to an endoscope system, a microscope system, or the like.
