abstract | The present invention pertains to: an asphalt composition for paving roads, which has superior dry strength, water immersion strength, and flexural strength; a production method therefor; and a method for paving roads. Provided are: [1] an asphalt composition for paving roads, containing asphalt, a polyester resin, and an aggregate, wherein the polyester resin is a specific polyester, and the proportion of the polyester resin is 2-30 parts by mass with respect to 100 parts by mass of the asphalt; [2] a method for producing an asphalt composition for paving roads, the method comprising a step for mixing asphalt, a polyester resin, and an aggregate at 130-200°C, wherein the polyester resin is the polyester of [1], and the proportion of the polyester resin in the mixture is 2-30 parts by mass with respect to 100 parts by mass of the asphalt; and [3] a method for paving roads, the method comprising a step for applying an asphalt composition obtained by the production method of [2], to form an asphalt pavement material layer. |
