abstract The invention relates to a shaft cover for shafts, channel entrances, or drainage channels, comprising a reinforcement element (5) and a body (7) made of plastic, said body being connected to the reinforcement element (5). The reinforcement element (5) is designed to rest on a support surface (3) on the shaft, channel entrance, or drainage channel when the shaft, channel entrance, or drainage channel is closed by the shaft cover (1), and the body (7) made of plastic has ribs (9) which run perpendicularly or at an angle of more than 45° relative to the surface (15) surrounding the shaft, channel entrance, or drainage channel when the shaft, channel entrance, or drainage channel is closed.
