abstract Disclosed are an azithromycin pharmaceutical composition and a medical use thereof for cough relief. The azithromycin pharmaceutical composition contains azithromycin and a natural product compound (I) separated from dried rhizoma arisaematis and having a novel structure. When used individually, the azithromycin and the natural product compound (I) have an anti-inflammatory and cough-relieving effect. When used together, the two further improve the anti-inflammatory and cough-relieving effect, may be developed into an anti-inflammatory and cough-relieving drug, and have prominent substantive features and represent notable progress with respect to the prior art.
