abstract The present disclosure relates to a fluid catalytic cracking process for obtaining cracked run naphtha from vacuum gas oil. The process is carried out in the presence of a catalyst composition comprising an FCC catalyst (ECAT) and an additive, to obtain cracked run naphtha with liquid olefinic content less than 40 wt%. The additive comprises a zeolite and a rare earth metal promoter. The zeolite is one of ferrierite and/or ZSM-35, and the rare earth metal promoter is one of lanthanum (La), zinc (Zn), and gallium (Ga).
