abstract | A tire is repaired in that: repair materials 22, 25 configured from at least unvulcanized rubber are arranged in and against a repair site of a damaged portion of a tire 1; heating pads 31, 32 are pressed against the surface of the repair materials 22, 25; in a tire circumferential portion 1a in the part in the tire circumferential direction where the repair materials 22, 25 are arranged, multiple wood pieces or other stuffing members 40, 40s of different sizes are stuffed inside the tire 1; a band 45 is tightened around the perimeter of the tire circumferential portion 1a to apply pressure; and the repair site is heated with the heat pads 31, 32, vulcanizing the unvulcanized rubber of the repair materials 22, 25. This low-cost tire repair method enables accommodating various types of tires and maintaining the shape of a tire during pressurizing and vulcanizing. |
