abstract Provided are a layered film whereby the precision of positional alignment between an image display panel and a polarizing plate can be further enhanced, and a method for manufacturing an image display device. A layered film 100 is provided with a polarizing plate 10 and a temporary protective film 8 provided on one side of the polarizing plate 10. The layered film 100 is provided with a peripheral region 100P extending a fixed width from the end surface of the layered film, and a central region 100C toward the inside from the peripheral region 100P. The fixed width is determined so as to satisfy the expression SC/(SP + SC) ≤ 0.7, where SP is the surface area of the peripheral region 100P and SC is the surface area of the central region 100C. The central region 100C has a mark M.
