abstract |
The invention relates to a gas container (20), particularly a gas cylinder, equipped with a valve unit (21) covered with a sheet (2) of heat-shrink polymer material fitted around said valve unit (21) and deformed and shrunk by heating so as to conform to the exterior contours of said valve unit (21), characterized in that said sheet (2) comprises a longiform tab (7) projecting out from the rest of the sheet (2) while being held on the sheet (2) by a base (7a) situated between two pre-cut lines (8) each formed of a plurality of perforations (9) spaced away from one another and passing through the thickness of the sheet (2). Method for fitting a sleeve (1) around a valve (20) fitted to such a gas container (20); and method for removing the protective wrapper after it has been fitted around the valve unit (21) of such a gas container (20). |
