abstract |
An electrically operated aerosol-generating system (1) comprising a main unit (3) and a tubular aerosol-generating article (2). The main unit comprises a heating portion (10) at an outer surface of the main unit (3). The heating portion (10) comprises one or more electric heaters (11). The tubular aerosol-generating article (2) comprises: a tubular aerosol-forming substrate (4); and an inner passage (5). The inner passage (5) of the tubular aerosol-generating article (2) is configured to receive the heating portion (10) of the main unit (3). The one or more electric heaters (11) of the main unit (3) are arranged to heat the tubular aerosol-forming substrate (4) when the tubular aerosol-generating article (2) is received on the heating portion (10) of the main unit (3). |
